St Asaph Chambers was established in April 2016 by Jai Moss. Jai left his previous chambers to establish St Asaph Chambers bringing in 6 other barristers over 2016. The Chambers now consists of 7 barristers of various experience specialising in a wide variety of commercial, insurance and family litigation.

The Chambers was set up to meet the demand in acting for Canterbury homeowners and business owners in their insurance claims arising out of the Canterbury earthquakes of 2010 and 2011. In less than a year the Chambers already handles more earthquake cases than any other law firm based in Christchurch.

Whilst the barristers all specialise in insurance litigation, they also have considerable experience acting in all areas of civil, commercial and family litigation. The barristers are regularly briefed by solicitors and clients from throughout New Zealand on a wide variety of issues arising from civil disputes.
